Death is inevitable, it lurks around the corner until it takes you, body and soul. So, before death deals with you, here are some activities you can do to take your mind off it and enjoy every minute of the life that you still have.
1.Travel
The most beautiful places in the world are at your disposal. So, travel to places you wished to see from the start. You won’t get another chance to do so in the afterlife.
If your budget permits, travel to different places on your trip, or go on a cruise, ride a train. See the world in three different ways and enjoy the ride while doing so.
2. Try a career in a different field
Often times, you refuse to get out of the comfort zone. You get a job you don’t love but suck it up anyway because you need to pay the bills or raise a family. But, if you have the guts to take on something you really love, quit your present job and do something different like getting into culinary arts.
You can also try your hand at being an artist or craft maker. There are a million other things to do to earn money while doing something you really love.
3. Lose weight
Don’t think that you have to lose weight to fit in your coffin. Instead, think about the positive effects of obtaining an ideal weight.
There are plenty of benefits which include lower blood pressure levels, increased energy levels, fewer aches and pains, less pressure on the lower extremities, better sleep, easier breathing, and an improved immune system. You also reduce your risk of getting diseases.
4. Do an extreme sport
Extreme sports such as skydiving, bungee jumping, and others all have risks, but that’s where all the adrenaline rush comes from, knowing that it could backfire and you’re finished before you know it. Extreme sports can both be fun and nerve-racking at the same time.
In order to avoid all the anxiety, listen to your instructor, and follow instructions. Always be alert and have the presence of mind so your extreme sport experience will be a success.
5. Go mountain climbing
The feeling of reaching a summit is indescribable according to those who have done it successfully. Mountain climbing is not without risks too, so gear up and don’t be a cheapskate. Remember, that your safety also relies on quality gears, too.
This is also best done with a group of mountaineers, who know their way around the mountain. So, getting lost is out of the question.
6. Reconnect with all friends
Moving on with your life can sometimes lead to lost friendships along the way. Well, it’s now time to reconnect with the old buddies and see how they have been doing all these years.
It’s always great to discover what they have been up to since you’ve lost touch. Sometimes, while you are in the process of rekindling the friendship, you get to discover new ones as well.
7. Don’t forget to say I Love You
These three words are often taken for granted. Sometimes, there are not said at all, unless someone is on the brink of death. So, before you get in that situation, say it to the people that matter.
They will appreciate the effort of letting them know how you really feel about them. Make a habit of saying it every day, you will find yourself getting used to it as time goes by.
8. Run a marathon
Experience doing something you thought you could never do, like running a marathon. It’s pretty hard, but the satisfaction of having completed one is beyond anything you could ever imagine.
Realizing that you could do great things, gives you the courage to do even greater things ahead.
9. Make a difference
Make your mark in the world by doing something to change someone else’s life for the better. Good deeds are limitless. You can do good deeds to anyone, whether they need it or not.
Concern for other people around you helps you to become a better person, the kind that would go to extreme lengths to make a difference in the life of others.
10. Conquer your fears
Conquer your fears, even death itself. Every day you are beset with different kinds of fears. Sometimes, you get too scared to function. The best thing you need to do is to get exposed to something you fear the most, gradually.
Desensitize yourself to, those factors that make life a living hell for you. Who knows? You might even get to love something you used to fear the most.
Life is just too short to take it for granted. It is too precious not to do things that make living worthwhile. So, enjoy every minute of it, savor special moments and live your life the way you want to, not how others want you to.
