Vinegar is one of the most common and most popular items in the kitchen. But, kitchen experts are not raving about vinegar due to the taste it provides instead, they are highly appreciative of the other things that vinegar can do especially inside the household. Here are the top ten other uses of vinegar.

1. Antibacterial

Who would have thought that vinegar could have the ability to kill bacteria upon contact? Vinegar, the kind you purchase in supermarkets, has properties that kill 99 percent of bacteria, 82 percent of mold, and 80 percent of viruses. By mixing 5 percent of vinegar into a solution, you can instantly disinfect the entire kitchen.

Keep a clean spray bottle filled with 5 percent vinegar in the cutting and use it for cleaning your cutting board and the bathroom.

2. Floor Cleaner

If the kitchen can be cleaned with the help of vinegar, then you can also help deodorize and clean the entire floor with a 5 percent vinegar solution. You can add 1/8 cup of liquid soap, vinegar, and any herbal tea to mask the odor of the vinegar and give your floor a fragrant smell.

Combine the solution in a bucket and swirl until there are soap suds present. Clean the floor using the solution.

3. Laundry Softener

For those who have tough stains on their laundry, vinegar can be used to remove them.

Fill the dispenser of your washing machine with 1/4 cup of white vinegar to soften the laundry without leaving any odor.

4. Remove Grease

If you think vinegar can be used to clean other parts of the house then be surprised when you can also use vinegar to remove grease from your dishes and frying pan.

Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the liquid dish soap in order to boost the cleaning power of the soap.

One can clear a clogged drain by pouring half a cup of baking soda and then a cup of vinegar. Wait for it to bubble and foam. When the foaming stops, flush the drain with the use of hot water.

You can also use vinegar to control the pests in your garden by trapping them. Pour a cup of apple cider vinegar into a plastic container. Add a cup of cold water and small slices of banana peel.

Poke a few holes at the upper portion of the container and place it in your garden or hang it near your plants.

7. Rust Remover

Clean out your rusty tools by soaking them in vinegar. Make sure that you use the entirety of the vinegar. After a few days, the vinegar will remove the rusts from your tools and you can rinse them off and use them again.

This also works for items such as screws and bolts as well.

8. Deodorant

Ever had visitors who feel offended with odorous furniture? Well, now is your chance to remove the odor from cigarettes and from your pets.

Spray a vinegar solution into your furniture and let it sit for a few minutes. Wipe away with a dry cloth and repeat a few times.

9. Cleans Car Windows

You can also clean the car windows from the tough stains by spraying a vinegar solution.

With that, you also coat the windows with the solution to keep your car windows frost-free.

10. Relieves Itchy Skin
