Hi there! I am a freelance writer who lives and breaths content on a daily basis. I consider myself to be a living paradox. An old soul trapped in a modern world. A self-proclaimed hopeless romantic and a professional over-thinker. I can't start anything unless I have my coffee. Writing has been and always will be my way of calming the storms in my heart and mind.

Who would not want to stay young and fresh-looking all the time? A young look means you take good care of yourself, you are stress-free and you are happy. In fact, many people invest so much in products that maintain their youthful glow. Why invest money when you can do natural and daily routines to keep a young and fresh glow? Here are 10 ways to do it.

1. Smile

Smile. It’s the one thing that you can give and still keep. Smiling, as they would say, make you look young and happy. On the other hand, frowning or not smiling can make you look tired and stressed. So smile a lot. When you walk around the city, greet people with a smile.

This would not only make other people’s day, but it can also benefit you by giving you a youthful, friendly, and energetic glow.

2. Go on vacation

Once every year, or every chance you get, go on a trip. It does not have to be an expensive trip around the world. It can be a cross-country trip or just a nearby beach where you can relax and unwind a little. Make it a habit to give time for yourself and de-stress. You can even plan for backpacking adventures and hiking trips.

Any activities that can make you go out of your home or your town for a couple of days or a week – this will make you reset your mind and emotions.

3. Hang out with people who make you happy

As far as emotional health goes, it can affect your youthful glow. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh and make you happy. This can help you avoid stress and enjoy life, which will show in your outside appearance.

Always find time to hang out with friends and family. Remember that laughter makes you young.

4. Exfoliate and hydrate

Two important things to cleanse your skin: exfoliate and hydrate. When you exfoliate, you remove the dead skin cells from your skin. These dead cells, when not removed, can cause acne and other skin problems.

Hydration is important to keep your internal and external functions working. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to stay hydrated.

5. Exercise and stay active

Stay active and keep your body moving through exercise and work out. You can also opt to do sports if you want to. The important thing is that you keep your body active so that it stays strong and you can avoid diseases.

An active body will also make you feel young and capable to do extreme physical activities.

6. Drink green tea

Green tea is universally known to be good for the skin. Because of its natural antioxidant content, green tea can help cleanse and maintain healthy skin, which can give you a youthful glow.

Instead of drinking caffeine, try substituting green tea to your daily routine and see the results on your young and fresh appearance.

7. Use water

Wash your face often and take a bath at least once every day. Don’t worry too much about the soap or formulas that you will use to wash your body with. Water is sufficient to clean your body.

In fact, it is better to just use water to wash your face than to use other formulas and soaps that can have strong chemicals that may damage your skin.

8. Eat fruits and vegetables

Instead of snacking on burgers and fries, go green and eat fruits and vegetables instead.

Fruits and vegetables can give you natural vitamins and nutrients that can not only keep your body healthy and free from diseases, but the antioxidants can also help keep the skin clean and healthy which will maintain your youthful glow.

9. Avoid direct sunlight

Although sunlight is said to be healthy for the skin, it is only true before 8 AM, where you can get vitamin D when you expose yourself to the sun. After that, the sun’s heat can already be painful and the harmful UV rays can damage your skin.

Avoid direct sunlight especially in the middle of the day, when the sunlight is at its peak.

10. Take a break

Avoid working too much and too hard. Overwork can cause stress which can leave dark circles around your eyes, a tired body, and a tired look. Give yourself a well-deserved rest and take a break.

Sleep for six to eight hours every night and take naps if necessary. Nothing can compensate for keeping you energized than the right amount of rest.

Your daily actions and routine is reflected in your skin. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle, you will have a young and fresh glow. If you are, however, leading an unhealthy lifestyle, then it could lead to growing old early – or looking old and stressed. Choose the fresh and stress-free look.
